Hockey Hats & Apparel

Hockey Clothing

The North American ice hockey market reflects this. The sport has also grown in popularity throughout the world partly due to the advent of synthetic ice.

Goalie pants incorporate more padded pelvic, thigh and hip pads to guard against. Goalie jocks (also called jills) are less protective of the groin but more padding in front of the cup.

Apparel

Hockey players are required to wear protective gear because the sport involves high-speed skating on hard surfaces. Players frequently collide and often intentionally. Besides ice skates and sticks the standard safety gear includes helmets (with a visor or full face mask) shoulder pads, elbow pads mouth guards and gloves, as well as heavily lined shorts (also known as hockey pants or jock athletic protector for males; and a jockstrap, also known as a "jill" for females) and a pelvic protector (known as a girdle women), and thigh, tailbone, hip, and shin pads. A neck protector may be worn.

In recent times technology has been utilized to reduce the weight of ice hockey apparel and to make it more useful. For instance, many businesses currently utilize carbon composites for stick shafts and specialized foam is available to make shoulder pads lighter without harming protection. Other enhancements include 3D scans which accurately depict a person's body proportions so that elbow pads, knee pads and shinpads are made to fit the individual player.

The hockey market is expected to expand over the next few years as more people are aware of the sport, and as artificial ice rinks are constructed all over the world, making it possible for players in areas that have no natural ice available. Additionally there has been a rise in the number of female players, which is a positive for market growth.

We have all the NHL apparel you require to look like a pro on and off the hockey.

Jerseys

Hockey jerseys are the uniforms hockey players wear. They are typically made of thicker materials than jerseys worn in other sports, and have sleeves that are long. The jerseys feature the team logo on the front and the last name of the player on the their back, and the number ranging from 0 to 100. Some jerseys also have a "C" and an "A" on them, which indicates the team's captain and alternate captain.

There are two kinds of NHL jerseys: authentic and replica. Original jerseys are made from the same material as ones worn by the players, and have the identical design. Replica jerseys could be made of different materials (usually less expensive) and might not have the exact design as authentic jerseys.

The majority of NHL teams have three or four sets of jerseys that are worn during games. They also have special sets, such as heritage designs and charity events. Each jersey has an inside back loop of fabric called a "fight strap" that must be attached to the pants of the player in order to prevent the sweater being pulled over their head during a game.

The Authentic Pro is the top-tier jersey that is available from the NHL, and it is made of high-performance fabrics with tackle twill multilayered 3D embroidery, and reinforced stitching. Both styles for women and men are available. The Authentic Premier is a lower-tier version of the Authentic Pro, and it is designed to replicate the appearance of the jerseys that players wear on the playing field.

Shirts

The team's sweaters, also referred to as jerseys, are their most well-known piece clothing. The primary logo of the team is displayed on the front, while the secondary logo is typically located on the shoulders. A player's last name is visible on the back of the jersey, and the player's number is located below it. It ranges from 0 to 99. The team captains wear a capital "C" to the left of their jersey logo. Two other players are designated as alternate captains wear an "A".

Most NHL teams have a third-sweater, or alternate, that is worn for special occasions, like for the Winter Classic or Stadium Series. Many teams also have an alternative that is retro or throwback for their home jerseys. These third sweaters allow teams to experiment with new designs and often serve as an initial basis for the creation of their primary jerseys.

The Vancouver Canucks have a beautiful sweater that manages to blend modern and traditional design. The navy and black jerseys are striking and easy to see on the ice. White stripes are a nice contrast. The Canucks have an attractive font on their numbers and names, which enhances the sleek appearance of the jersey.
